This coming Thursday, my family and I will be heading to
Jackson's Mill, West Virginia for a Stonewall Jackson Symposium. I will be speaking at the Supper on Saturday evening. My topic will be "Stonewall Jackson & the Impact of Friendships." In attendance will be many members of a family whose oral history claims that they are descended from one of Stonewall Jackson's slaves. A portion of the proceeds and book sales will go toward the restoration of a one-room schoolhouse where Jackson taught as a young man. Sunday morning, we hope to worship in Broad Run Baptist Church - one of the churches Jackson attended as a boy. More filming will also be going on for the documentary based on my latest book.
