Old Virginia Blog
WBTS & historical musings, wandering thoughts, book comments, and an occasional rant from the backroads and byways of Old Virginia from Civil War author Richard G. Williams, Jr - one of the few remaining men who has actually lived in Virginia all his life. :)
About Me
"From Virginia sprung the Southern Mind, a mind which favoured the local community, Burkean conservatism, the folkways of ancestors, an unwavering orthodox Christian faith." ~ Alphonse Vinh

Natural Bridge
On April 2nd, my family and I attended the annual living history service at Natural Bridge Baptist Church at historic Natural Bridge, Virginia. My daughters, along with Heather Berry, provided the music for the worship and memorial service. Rev. Alan Farley of the Reenactors Missions for Jesus Christ (http://www.rmjc.org/index.htm) brought the morning message. The memorial was for several Confederagte soldiers buried in the old church cemetery. Even General Lee made a surprise appearance! We will be posting additional pictures from the event.
